Window Types

Awning Window
An awning window is a type of window that is hinged at the top, allowing it to open outward from the bottom. This design creates an "awning" effect, which is where the window gets its name. Awning windows are typically operated with a crank mechanism.

Casement Window
A casement window is a type of window that is hinged on the side, allowing it to open outward like a door. It is typically operated with a crank mechanism, though some models can be opened by hand.

Fixed Window
A fixed window is a type of window that is permanently sealed in place and does not open or close. It is designed solely to allow light into a room while providing an unobstructed view of the outside. Fixed windows are commonly used in areas where ventilation is not a primary concern but where natural light and aesthetics are important.

Tilt and Turn
A tilt and turn window is a versatile window design that can be opened in two different ways: it can either tilt inward at the top for ventilation or swing open like a door by turning the handle. This design allows for excellent control over both airflow and security.

Single/Double Hung
Double-hung windows are a type of window with two vertically sliding sashes—one at the top and one at the bottom—that can be opened independently or together. The sashes move up and down within the frame, allowing for excellent ventilation and ease of cleaning. Single Hung units have a stationary top sash.

Slider/Glider Windows
A slider window is a type of window or door design where the window panes or sections slide horizontally, typically along a track, to open or close. It provides easy access to fresh air, natural light, and smooth operation.
